Students enjoy access to facilities across The School of Design, The School of Engineering, and The Wharton School. Through computer labs in The School of Engineering and The School of Design, students have access to the latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite, as well as a variety of 3D modeling programs, including Solidworks, Rhino, AutoCad, and Maya.
Students will spend a significant amount of time in the IPD studio. The studio acts as a center for community and collaboration and includes ample desk space, whiteboards, supplies, and computers with both Solidworks and Rhino.
The Penn Design Fabrication Lab
The "Fab Lab" is the main workshop for IPD students. It includes a full woodshop, worktables, a machine shop, and an expert staff. The Fab Lab also offers digital fabrication tools, including three laser cutters and two CNC mills. It's located on the 4th floor of Meyerson in The School of Design.
General Robotics, Automation, Sensing and Perception (GRASP) Laboratory
The GRASP Lab integrates computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering in a vibrant, collaborative environment.
Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs
Students have access to many WEP activities, including The Wharton Business Plan Competition, The Venture Initiation Program (VIP), The Wharton Small Business Development Center, and the Entrepreneur in Residence Program.
